Dollars.com for Auction at SEDO ! ! !

I am unable to understand whats going on at SEDO, Dollars.com was already sold at SEDO for $ 789600 US on April 2008 (Results from Namebio ). The same domain is now at auction, only one bid for 302500 Eur (388887.15 $ US exchange by xe.com) is received and it shows reserve met. whether the seller sells it for a loss. The first owner being Mr.Rick Latona sold this domain for ~675000 $ US. Now it has changed several hands.

I have already discussed about this domain a year ago visit : domain auction to learn more about this superior domain name.

Domain Brokers on move ?

1.) what is meant by secret domain sales ? (or) what is called secret website sales ?

Some domain sellers wish to sell their domain property in a secret method. what i mean is they don't wish to disclose their domain sales to the public. those domain sellers just want the domain brokers to sell their domain property directly to their known seller. such sales are privately held by the domain broker, is called secret domain sales or secret web sales. Great premium domains and websites with few years of development and have a revenue potential are sold in a secret way. this is mainly done so that they don't want to lose the goodwill of their online internet property.

2.) What happened to Bido ? Auction hanged with fixedloans.com ?

Bido a domain name auction site, started by few portfolio owners Mr.sahar sarid, Mr.Rick Schwartz to help domainers to sell their domains. They considered a single domain for auction from a list of domains which they feel premium. called as domain for consideration. They started their auction at $1 most of the domains reached a reasonable price. they were smoothly done their auction sale up to 58 domains. On the 59 th day they started to auction a nice two word finance related domain, fixedloans.com. they mailed to all subscribers that due to overload on hosting it got overhauled, and they mailed to every one that the same domain name auction will be once again conducted with in two days. But i just noticed that there is no domain auctions till two business weeks.

3.) Who is an independent domain broker ?

Generally domain brokers are not independent in nature. They depend in some way either to get traffic for their domain broker site, or to pay safely for the domain names sold through their domain broker site. But we can see some big giants are making them self independent with their own escrow ETC. Where as new born domain brokers are in no way. they have to depend as they have to build trust on their business with time.

Why last 2 bids of “xu.com “ retracted and price dropped from $185,000 to $90,000 ?

Do you know, only 3days still available for completion of auction, but 2 bid prices were retracted.

Few weeks ago all these 2 char domains were at dnforum for auctions but the minimum price doesn't exceeded 85k. Note: sedo is also a member there. If you complain about sedo regarding any problem in their service at dnforum you will be responded faster. But it is a paid forum (It has a Membership fee)

Okay we come to the topic, then these domains were placed at sedo as premium domains and broker initiated the auction. Only 2 domains were on the home page xu.com at 90,000 USD and zr.com at 85,000 USD. After 2 days suddenly xp.com came in the game and placed on top of "featured auctions listing" at 499,000 USD (maximum bid)

xu.com initial bid is 30,000 USD, 6 (or) 7 bids were received up to 185,000 USD (3 days remaining)but the last few bids were cancelled (when 1 day remains), similar to dollars.com. Such fake bids are made at each and every auctions and currently 5th bid is 85,000 USD (reserve is 200,000 to 499,999 – so reserve not met)

zr.com initial bid is 1000 USD, 6 bids were received up to 90,000 USD (3 days remaining) each and every auctions and currently 5th bid is 85,000 USD ( reserve is 200,000 to 500,000 - not met ) i noted when only 4 hr remains for auction completion.

xp.com initial bid 5,000 USD and final bid is 499,000 USD only i noted when only 4 hr remains for auction completion.9 bidders made 9 bids (no multiple or repeated bids) if some guy make 501,500 as the next higher bid,he will win and reserve is also met (reserve is 500,000 to 1,000,000 –here reserve is not met)

All these prices are quite high but xu.com and zr.com are quite low, Do you know why ?

The alphabets (or) characters are divided in to three types they are
(Premium quality letters – a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, I, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t) - costly.
(Average quality letters – j, k, u, v, w) - average price.
(Low / bad quality letters – q, x, y, z) - low price compared to other.

If a domain name has a bad quality letter either in full or part its market value gets reduced, provided it will have some special meaning like xp.com.
